Попадание в центр субкультур
Бренд зародился в 2004 году в небольшом городе Уэльса в качестве второстепенного проекта. Сэм обосновался в подвале магазина одежды “TWO”, взяв Ридиана себе в помощники. Пауэлл в то время учился в университете на графического дизайнера. Друзья придумали идею проектирования и изготовления футболок для продажи друзьям и клиентам в магазине. Они до сих пор не могут поверить, что это хобби обернулось созданием именитого бренда.
Сэм и Ридиан хотели, чтобы их одежда проникла во все слои населения, чтобы она мелькала в барах, на стадионах и улицах. Для первого шага был выбран премиальный трикотаж и верхняя одежда. Пальто и куртки, которые можно было носить с чем угодно, приняли с восторгом, тогда и стало понятно, что пора делать полноценную коллекцию.
“Weekend Offender носят на свадьбах, рейвах, вечеринках дома или просто в местном пабе. По выходным все любят выпускать пар, поэтому наши клиенты из всех слоев общества и культур. Немногие бренды могут этим похвастаться”, – говорит Сэм Джонс.
Одежда Weekend Offender
Бренд очень быстро стал синонимом футбольной культуры. Одежду можно носить на матч по выходным дням, а после делиться впечатлением в пабах. Уикенд Оффендер продает трикотаж, верхнюю одежду, поло, рубашки и аксессуары.
Сегодня марка предлагает целый ряд новаторских футболок из натурального хлопка, куртки из нейлона, брюки и шорты, все под знаком “made in England”. Коллекции расширяются с каждым годом, пополняясь толстовками и худи. Это четкие рисунки с акцентом на качественный дизайн и функциональность.
Бесхитростный и точный подход позволяет бренду сосредоточиться на том, чего они хотят на самом деле. Например, куртка Dealer с дополнительным прозрачным верхом сделана так, чтобы во время дождя можно было скручивать папиросу табака, не намочив ее. Также есть куртка для 48-часового вечеринки, которая поставляется с зубной щеткой и пастой. На этом идеи не заканчивают, бренд постоянно придумывает и создает что-то новое, отличное от других.
Уикенд Оффендер делит коллекции на Mainline и Category A. Диапазон Mainline представляет смелые цвета, большой выбор принтов и потайные карманы. Категория A – премиальная линейка, более изысканная и спокойная.

Хулиганский брендинг
Один из друзей любит acid-house, второй наслаждается рок музыкой. Оба работают пять дней в неделю и отдыхают с вечера пятницы по воскресенье. Бунтари выходного дня в Британии отрываются по полной, но в Gucci на рейв вечеринку не пойдешь. Сэм и Ридиан создали идеальную одежду для тусовок, Викенд Оффендер отлично вписывается в атмосферу клуба, паба и футбольного стадиона.
Но бунтари так же любят выходные, как и ненавидят понедельники, поэтому первым слоганом на этикетке Weekend Offender был “Fuckofmondays”. Провокационную надпись вскоре заменили на строчку из любимой песни Ридиана группы The Stone Roses – “I Wanna Be Adored”. Она до сих пор красуются на одежде бренда.
На этом креатив нашивок не заканчивается. Надпись “Admit nothing 1988”, взятая с билетов в кино не означала ничего бунтарского. Но футбольные фанаты, часто задерживаемые полицией, перефразировали невинную надпись “на одно посещение” в “не признавайся” или “молчи при аресте”.
Weekend Offender даже подверглись расследованию от Кабинета министров за использование в логотипе короны. На веб-сайте правительства Великобритании говорится: “Использование нашего логотипа ограничено и не должно применяться другими лицами или организациями без официального разрешения”.
Но бунтарей это не остановило, и бренд продолжил набирать обороты. Среди знаменитостей, замеченных в Викенд Оффендер, значатся Лиам Галлахер, группа Rizzle Kicks, Эд Ширан и Том Харди.

Banned from every football ground in the UK for nearly 200-years. «Dressers» follows Deacon, one of the Soul Crew’s key members. Deacon talks about trouble with his crew, his banning order and what it means to be involved in Casual culture. We also get insight into life behind the violence, his role as a father and the life he has left behind.
Filmed during the build up to the 2015 Wales v Belgium qualifier, the biggest game in Wales’s history since 1958. The film is presented by Weekend Offender the London-based Welsh-born menswear brand. Running alongside the film is a series of editorial photography, shot on location in Cardiff and Merthyr Tydfil by Will Robson-Scott and The Rig Out
